Mad Cow's udder cover adventure...

Disguised as a Xmas tree with a subtley bovine nuanced start atop, this decidedly mad cow almost foiled the authorities who had been searching for it since it's escape from the stem cell research institute where the maligned bovine had been subject to a range of experimental covert grass toppings as the institute tried to test the correlation (if any) between green vegetational coverings and teh level of 'mad' in mad cows...the testing continues, as to what awaits this dejected looking mad cow, it seems udderly confusing...

Future Ramifications

I wonder how much time we spend thinking about 'bigger picture' issues that don't have us at their centre? I was shocked at my own parochial, selfish functioning that had or put me at the centre of all my reflection and introspection... And then we wonder why we've become such a one dimensional non-society, cos we function on a purely individual basis, where consideration of others or 'bigger picture' priorities, or indeed realities are absolute misnomers! And I wonder what hope there is for a sustainable world when we have 6 billion individuals and no real community?! Posted from Blogium for iPhone

And now?

So we trundle forth and try give the impression that we are in some sort of control, Well I guess we control the decisions we make but, that's just us reacting to a mass of what's out there, our personality & social-eco background & context impacting on us directly, or indirectly...so I guess it comes down to how we define control, I think the best we can hope for is controlling how we react to the the world and stuff in it, not the other way around, but then again that's probably where the fun, fear and uncertainty lies! Just don't let yourself be defined by whats around you or what people think of you, have the guts to be true to you! Posted from Blogium for iPhone

Time for change...

Or should it be change with time? Sometimes I feel we get the two confused... I think we should live true according to our heart's knowledge of what's right, strive to live that way despite the hardship that may at times arise and in that way, as the cliche goes we can be the change we want to see in the world!!! New iPhone 3G S...& that OS 3.0 mmm ya

Ok , so it is sorta new, the new iPhone 3G S but I'd say it's more of an upgrade than anything else, the bigger news is the new software (version 3.0)... hardware wise the 'new' iPhone has a new 600MHz processor, up from the 433 MHz one in the 3G version (the 2 nd Gen iPod Touch has a 533MHz processor). Pity that the battery life of the 3G S hasn't improved though. The camera has been upgraded (something the iPod hasn't got) to 3 megapixel . But the big news (for the iPod ) is the software update, which will activate the bluetooth embedded in the iPod Touch so bluetooth headsets will be an option when listening to music watching movies etc. for the iPhone and iPod Touch alike the software version 3.0 will improve and add much more functionality (cut, copy, paste which has been sorely missed, and a novel search function called spotlight) to both and apparently open up a whole new frontier for games and applications alike... Now if Apple would just open an

Time for winter is over...

Ok , well it ain't but it should be...South Africans, up here in the highveld are not GOOD winter's people, we are narcy , irritated, glum, peeved etc. all due to the FACT that our psyche is not meant to function in this cold weather, so it rebels, and that cause a chain reaction of kakky sentiment internally that has to 'get out', hence our 'non happiness is me' demeanour!! bring on spring already!!

Everyone is special!

Samuel, whom we sponsor & us on his birthday. He in return allows the priveledge of supporting him!

Bel's Birthday Collage!

Jasmyn or Holland?

Methinx Jasmyn purely cos we are on the southern hemisphere and they sell biltong and beskuit... Nice idea though, although the notion of a windmill close to hartebeespoort really seems far fetched, sorta like the whole holland idea...

An empty space...Durban ICC

Means nothing essentially but if it's a dance floor it means the music is kak or the people are boring, in this case the former!

twitter!

Ok, so I am understanding bit by bit why twitter is cool, cos it ain't got all the junk of Facebook, its just a mini communication tool, which allows you to chat to yr buds and others that you follow, and hopefully other will follow you too..so ya, I would recommend it, its simple and fun! just click on the twitter! title of this post and join me twittering...

Motions moments

Taken at Butterfly World in Cape Town: Beauty is transient, changing with time but always there, always seeking an open soul, to heal, to feed, to provide substance, meaning & inspiration, and most of all to guide us & show us that life is an opportunity to love, ourselves & others, that we may find faith in us & trust ourselves, within ourselves...

My new Poddy 2nd Gen

After knocking Apple for yrs I've taken the plunge, suffice to say it's truly awesome! I was the first to say NO! not an Apple, iTunes sux , iPods are overpriced etc etc. But after taking the plunge (traitor that I am) I hav e to say it really is an unbelievable device, and so much more than a mere MP3/4 player, the 2 nd Gen has a faster processor compared to the 1st Gen (& iPhone 3G) its slimmer, now with a full aluminium back (iPhone & 1st Gen has plastic backs), in built speaker and external volume buttons. Battery life is boosted to with 35 odd hours of music playing and about 5 to 6 hours video playback, if you use it for a lot of WiFi and gaming it's battery life comes down to 2 to 3 hrs (constant use). And the intuitiveness and seamlessness with which app's work and function is in a league of its own, seriously. The reason I took the plunge... besides the glorious design is the fact that we have a App Store in SA now so applications and games can

Me...now

Sometimes it's just about realising who we are & not focussing too much on who we think we should be...

Election reflection...

So the ANC(sleeze) look set for a two thirds majority, something I hoped would not happen. At least it looks like their majority will be down, which is great, it shows there is a turn in the tide however small. The voting predictably was along racial lines which is unfortunate but understandable given our apartheid past. It would seem though that we have merely swopped one party of racial despots for another. Sad given the ANC's most admirable past as struggle movement. It has evolved into something for less laudable though, just as greedy, unjust & racist as the regime it's replaced! But hey, there's always hope, and this reduced majority could be the start of the 'post revolution revolution', I hope so...

Half Year Anniversary (click for more Pic's)

So, Tania & I celebrated our half year anniversary this past weekend, ya I know its only 6 months but hey, its worth celebrating, so I took us away for the weekend to Dullstroom. We stayed at cherry grove apartment suites, which overlook the piazza, sorta like 'little italy' hehe, it was really nice, for more photos check out my picasa web albums site, some nice photos of the piazza etc. So, remember, life is short, true, but these days life is irrevocably hectic, we are exposed to so much but afford ourselves so little time to 'digest' it, to take it in, allow it time to feed our soul, so remember, its not only in the doing but in the 'absorbing' that we find fulfillment!!

The AN(C)Sleeze!!

Good god, when they were voted into power in 94' & we had Madiba as Prezi, I really believed, , ..but geez how things have gone south! now we have a Gvt of corrupt idiots, who thrive on dishonesty, not doing the right thing & apathy, and then to go and say that God supports the ANC! why God would support a party of despots, corrupt racists, who don't give a damn about the poor I have no idea except to say that on His worst day He would never support a bunch of unethical pricks that make up the higher echelons of the ANC, 'God forgive them' is more appropriate, but I'm not sure He should... And I hope the election results start showing them that their time is ending just like it did for the previous bunch of despots under apartheid! all hail to good hearted, truthful people that honestly care about the plight of the less fortunate, the poor and needy cos it sure as hell ain't the ANC! good riddance to new rubbish...

Me & T after our Canopy Tour

We survived!! and what an awesome experience, a total of 10 slides down the valley, about 40m above the ground and the longest slide being about 140m long, I'm not sure who was more scared me or Tania but I think I hid my fear better, I remember silently hoping that someone would chicken out so I could join them hehe...but no-one did and so much the better. It was really exilarating...bring on the Adventure!

Romantic!

good friends! good time! good memories!

Busy day in the office...

Better to be so inclined only in the office methinx...as life has more fun in mind, its us that lose that focus though and blame work, but the work has no conscience, we do! so decide, remember and live life!!

T's Beauty...simply

She is my bliss, my poetry, my warm fuzzy heart, all that and more!

Some "Down Time"

Lest we forget... rather, remember fondly those love'd one's lost, a beautiful heart, a true soul, in its presence...we should see the nostalgic reverie not only as meandering function of emotion, but seek in it the inspiration for our own words, thoughts & deeds!

What hinders a soul most?

Is it fear, is it evil, doubt, a lack of faith, and is it independent of our consciousness? Does it evolve in accordance with how we live our lives, what we say, think or commit to in word thought or deed? Or is it predefined, divinely somehow and when the time comes we are held accountable for our lackings, compared to what our innate potential was, and judged accordingly...I wonder
