And so the GREY continues…

I find more and more that life these days seems more and more intent on pushing one to be more predictable, less individual, more conformist, less creative, more GREY, and yes, creativity and innovation are there, its just as though the world and not ourselves are defining the parameters within which the creativity and innovation should occur, instead of us. Sure we come up with an idea, its ours, mine, yours, but the context within which we find ourselves, which impacts on our understanding, fathoming of any ‘creative’ ‘innovative’ idea, to some degree is already predefined… And so, we become more GREY, even as some of us struggle to stay individualistic, true to ourselves, it becomes almost impossible by virtue of our context, to some degree at least, so be aware that striving, fighting for your individualism needs to take account of the ‘context’ within which you live because much of it is not of your creating, so fight harder, against the world… to be yourself in it!!

My new Poddy 2nd Gen

After knocking Apple for yrs I've taken the plunge, suffice to say it's truly awesome! I was the first to say NO! not an Apple, iTunes sux , iPods are overpriced etc etc. But after taking the plunge (traitor that I am) I hav e to say it really is an unbelievable device, and so much more than a mere MP3/4 player, the 2 nd Gen has a faster processor compared to the 1st Gen (& iPhone 3G) its slimmer, now with a full aluminium back (iPhone & 1st Gen has plastic backs), in built speaker and external volume buttons. Battery life is boosted to with 35 odd hours of music playing and about 5 to 6 hours video playback, if you use it for a lot of WiFi and gaming it's battery life comes down to 2 to 3 hrs (constant use). And the intuitiveness and seamlessness with which app's work and function is in a league of its own, seriously. The reason I took the plunge... besides the glorious design is the fact that we have a App Store in SA now so applications and games can

Of Loved One's!

If one doesn't or chooses not to share the good times with those we love then the life one leads is merely a biology centred around existence, as opposed to the sharing, engaging form of humanity that I think we were meant for...and this is not to say that we should be oblivious to the fact that life sometimes is 'tough' and it sometimes takes every ounce of energy just to carry on, but I do believe that being positive is a choice, an attitude towards life that seeks the better as opposed to the worse, and this 'choice' is made real by how we see ourselves in the context of the 'world'...our perception of ourselves may not define us, but it will give some sort of indication as to the person we are. In sharing the special times with those we love & or care about is exactly why those times are special, by virtue of the company we were in...and yes some times we need the solace, the 'downtime' by ourselves but, when we are with others, we can expre
