Sometimes we just need a reality check… seriously!

So easy to lose perspective in life, of life, while trying to live life… and we then tend to focus more on the ‘stuff’ we ain’t got and the things that go wrong, or that don’t happen as we’d like or as we’d planned, and we get so obsessed with these ‘things’ we get bulldozered into this negative cycle, which essentially reinforces itself, at our expense.
And then, once in a while (rarely, especially to this extent) we experience something, or someone that equates to a well deserved ‘smack in the face’, I got that last week, went and watched a movie (documentary) called, “Searching for Sugarman” the story of Rodriquez… its rare to be moved emotionally by something we ourselves don’t experience through doing, similarly, its even more of a rarity to be moved spiritually (not in a religious sense per se), BUT to have both of these together at the same time is truly epic!
Go watch the movie, IT WILL move you, it will provide you with a much needed slap in the face, though its impact is a lot more subtle, its impact so much more unequivocal, more profound, just be open to the beauty, the state of senses it conveys … like seeing the moon landing for the first time but being on the moon while watching it…. see the movie you’ll know what I mean!!
Where humility, integrity and true beauty converge!

Beauty is perception...

When I see photos like this I wonder why it is that we crave so diligently things that contradict the beauty so evident! Is it only the lucky few who seek out and live this life where beauty is so innate to one's living who appreciate the levity of their life? We others desire so much 'stuff' that all else is compromised most notably our state of senses, our sense of being, our world so one dimensional that we lose our souls to it's linearity... And in doing so we lose ourselves and the opportunity to appreciate and experience true beauty in the world!

My new Poddy 2nd Gen

After knocking Apple for yrs I've taken the plunge, suffice to say it's truly awesome! I was the first to say NO! not an Apple, iTunes sux , iPods are overpriced etc etc. But after taking the plunge (traitor that I am) I hav e to say it really is an unbelievable device, and so much more than a mere MP3/4 player, the 2 nd Gen has a faster processor compared to the 1st Gen (& iPhone 3G) its slimmer, now with a full aluminium back (iPhone & 1st Gen has plastic backs), in built speaker and external volume buttons. Battery life is boosted to with 35 odd hours of music playing and about 5 to 6 hours video playback, if you use it for a lot of WiFi and gaming it's battery life comes down to 2 to 3 hrs (constant use). And the intuitiveness and seamlessness with which app's work and function is in a league of its own, seriously. The reason I took the plunge... besides the glorious design is the fact that we have a App Store in SA now so applications and games can...
