Mmmm… and so it goes

I know I’ve said this before but time necessitates a reminder, sometimes the more we seek the less we find. At times though the thought of ‘merely’ existing doesn’t fit right with our urge to grasp, understand and/or desire to know, but often is exactly at these times that we should put our urge/desire to know aside.
For some strange reason when we find ourselves in these instances it’s the conscious choice to not seek that allows us to find… it’s as though in our energetic and oft misplaced enthusiasm we lose our ability to ‘absorb’ what we need to, like we’re too focused on process to see the truth or any nuances thereof.
We’re so concerned with solving the ‘equation’ that we forget about what led to its formulation…

Beauty is perception...

When I see photos like this I wonder why it is that we crave so diligently things that contradict the beauty so evident! Is it only the lucky few who seek out and live this life where beauty is so innate to one's living who appreciate the levity of their life? We others desire so much 'stuff' that all else is compromised most notably our state of senses, our sense of being, our world so one dimensional that we lose our souls to it's linearity... And in doing so we lose ourselves and the opportunity to appreciate and experience true beauty in the world!

My new Poddy 2nd Gen

After knocking Apple for yrs I've taken the plunge, suffice to say it's truly awesome! I was the first to say NO! not an Apple, iTunes sux , iPods are overpriced etc etc. But after taking the plunge (traitor that I am) I hav e to say it really is an unbelievable device, and so much more than a mere MP3/4 player, the 2 nd Gen has a faster processor compared to the 1st Gen (& iPhone 3G) its slimmer, now with a full aluminium back (iPhone & 1st Gen has plastic backs), in built speaker and external volume buttons. Battery life is boosted to with 35 odd hours of music playing and about 5 to 6 hours video playback, if you use it for a lot of WiFi and gaming it's battery life comes down to 2 to 3 hrs (constant use). And the intuitiveness and seamlessness with which app's work and function is in a league of its own, seriously. The reason I took the plunge... besides the glorious design is the fact that we have a App Store in SA now so applications and games can...
