Frustration and bliss…

So you wonder how humanity is gonna survive the future, with all manner of calamity waiting around the bend… its easy actually, we’ll ignore things until the sh1t hits the fan (literally), and then we’ll try manage, fix and apportion blame, hopefully to someone and/or group that are insecure (typically those who have that ‘recycled hippy’ sense of guilt about what we are doing to ‘mother earth’) enough to actually contemplate the notion that they may indeed be to blame (a bit or a bunch, directly or indirectly).
We, both as individuals and as the ‘collective’ have lost the ability to engage with and take responsibility for our actions, the options and opportunities to blame ‘others’ are just too tempting, the option to ‘externalise the cost(s)’ is just to enticing, and with so little consequence, its a win win deal, superficially anyhow, cos the sh1t did hit the fan, that wasn’t a rumour or a likelihood, its an unequivocal reality…
No honour among thieves the saying goes, but when there’s no honour amongst the one’s we’d consider ‘the just and decent’ within the collective then, its safe to assume that the sh1t that did indeed hit the fan is gonna be our undoing, the stuff to ‘asunder’ us for good!

Beauty is perception...

When I see photos like this I wonder why it is that we crave so diligently things that contradict the beauty so evident! Is it only the lucky few who seek out and live this life where beauty is so innate to one's living who appreciate the levity of their life? We others desire so much 'stuff' that all else is compromised most notably our state of senses, our sense of being, our world so one dimensional that we lose our souls to it's linearity... And in doing so we lose ourselves and the opportunity to appreciate and experience true beauty in the world!

My new Poddy 2nd Gen

After knocking Apple for yrs I've taken the plunge, suffice to say it's truly awesome! I was the first to say NO! not an Apple, iTunes sux , iPods are overpriced etc etc. But after taking the plunge (traitor that I am) I hav e to say it really is an unbelievable device, and so much more than a mere MP3/4 player, the 2 nd Gen has a faster processor compared to the 1st Gen (& iPhone 3G) its slimmer, now with a full aluminium back (iPhone & 1st Gen has plastic backs), in built speaker and external volume buttons. Battery life is boosted to with 35 odd hours of music playing and about 5 to 6 hours video playback, if you use it for a lot of WiFi and gaming it's battery life comes down to 2 to 3 hrs (constant use). And the intuitiveness and seamlessness with which app's work and function is in a league of its own, seriously. The reason I took the plunge... besides the glorious design is the fact that we have a App Store in SA now so applications and games can...
